Cingular isn't only rolling out GSM, but included with that is GPRS and 
eventually EDGE.

As for a PDA that speaks GSM, there are a couple of ways to go:  Ipaq 
with a Nokia D311 PC card, or a Handspring Treo 270 with a built in phone.
