[ale] recycling old RAM?

drill a hole, add a key ring and make it a geeky keychain fob.

Seriously, just offer it for free on Craigslist. In the Reduce-> Reuse->
Recycle process, the first two Rs have a far greater impact that the last
one. Only the last gets used as a revenue source so that's the only focus.
Recycling a circuit board is a nasty, messy process that involves basically
burning it to extract the metals and flue gas emissions from a complex mix
of organics being burned. Ewaste is a huge and rapidly growing issue that
is so far mostly exported to the outland regions of other countries for
open-pit fires tended by children. WHO has a PDF about lead and cadmium
exposure http://bit.ly/yfRYlg

As long as the general population is passive, apathetic, diverted to
consumerism or hatred of the vulnerable, then the powerful can do as they
please, and those who survive will be left to contemplate the outcome.
