[ale] need more help, install new NTP, outside of repository

Ron,

More from my last comment. Do a "man install" and it lets you put the
software where you want. What Mike said, "make install" puts the
software where it "normally" goes. I doubt if either one sets it to
start on boot. I'm not a Debian/Ubuntu guy so if it's not in
/etc/init.d, I'm not sure.
