[ale] Losing Ubuntu

I do no like that they have added that to the install. Sudo is great
for giving limited users access to specific system administration
functions, but it is no replacement for true root access.

If you want to stick with using sudo, though, then the only line you
need to add to the sudoers file is "joshua ALL=(ALL) ALL". Booting
from the install CD would be the technically easier way to mount your
root partition for editing. But if you want to do it the clever way,
simply append "root=/bin/sh" kernel parameters in your boot loader. I
imagine you are using grub, so just press 'e' when the timed option
window appears, edit the kernel line, and press 'b' to boot it. Once
you are booted, run `mount -o remount=rw /` to make your root
partition editable.
