Clonezilla is a cool integration of dd, partimage, ntfsclone, and 
udpcast; the downside is that you have to set up their Disklesss Remote 
Boot Linux (DRBL) system first. This seems like overkill for imaging, 
and when I tried it it turned out to be a hairy mess. The installation 
documentation [0] is basically "run these scripts which will force 
install a lot of packages and write lots of configuration files, then 
run some more arcane scripts to use it." If it fails to work, you don't 
have much to go on to fix it.
