[ale] Confusion compiling mopac7 under FC4

If somebody has a clue, I sure need to `borry it.

Under Fedora Core 4, pretty well up to date with patches, I'm attempting 
to compile the package mopac7 from the tarball mopac7-1.10.tgz. The 
configure script is looking for, and not finding a f2c library, which I 
beleive I have installed in the /usr/lib directory (as 
/usr/lib/libg2c.so.) I have attached the output from running ./configure 
in case that helps.
