[ale] Gnome users, how do I get rid of the tool bar temporarily?

Three options:

right mouse button on the bar and you'll get a menu that will permit:

1. enable hide buttons
2. autohide


3. Or, set your app that is under the bar to be always on top.  This 
varies depending on your window manager.
