[ale] Debian's speed

HP Pavillion zd7020US.  80G HDD, DVD+R/CD-RW, 512M ram.  Broadcom 54G
wireless running through LinuxAnt's Driverloader.

Sweet machine.

I have actually run 4 or 5 different Linuxes on this machine, but Debian
refuses to run.  >shrug<
