Epson makes an inkjet that support 11x17. It also support the archival
inks as well. It's a rather pricey  system (>450 I think) but much less
than a laser printer that can handle 11x17. Look up Epson and dig in
their pro series.

I have seen and used a Xerox Phaser 770 (color laser, network printing,
auto-duplex, 11x17) that was around $2500. The consumables on that
monster are expensive, too. But the output is terrific.
