Well, you can try three things with the first few that come out.

1.  Store them cold.  Probably won't work.
2.  Store them under nitrogen.  Better.
3.  Play them with a low power DVD player.  Might be photon activated.  
Three photons and your out.

Also, you can:

Image the data immediately onto your hard drive and transcode to CD.  As 
many will I bet since eventually someone will learn how to unscramble 
the individual chunks into a meaningful movie.
