[ale] 20/40 GB Tape backup

Chris,
Hardware compression in the drive is faster usually. I have 120Gb and
it takes about 8-10 hours to fill a 12/24Gb tape using hardware
compression. My drive is 12/24Gb DDS3 internal SCSI on an SGI Origin
200. It is dumping a single filesystem using xfsdump. The limit is the
tape write speed. I am averaging, since we have lots of ASCII files
mixed with some binary files, about 20Gb per tape. So I am writing
about 2.5Gb/hr at the fastest.
