[ale] RH 7.3 install locks up :(

Now that makes sense.  Particularily since I've made two attempts, each 
resulting in the lock up at the same point.

I didn't have to buy my radio from a specific company to listen
to FM, why doesn't that apply to the Internet (anymore...)?
