Regarding "The lesson learned is do not use ISA NICs on a mobo that
contains PCI slots. Use PCI NICs only." - What's the story here? Can
someone
elaborate? Does this only apply to the multi-homing?

Thanks to Vernard and the folks at the General Store, George is
multi-homed! The lesson learned is do not use ISA NICs on a mobo that
contains PCI slots. Use PCI NICs only. As it was getting a little late,
we didn't test the connections. Now it only half works.

eth0 (Internet side) has IP 208.237.100.108/248
eth1 (LAN side) has IP 207.10.10.8/0 (I didn't know about
192.168...)
lo is ignored
router is at IP 208.237.100.105
DNS is carried by UUNet at 198.1.6.2, .3, &.4 (should I run DNS on this
box? how?)

netcfg in fvwm looks like:
Names: hostname: george.morgansouthern.com
      domain: morgansouthern.com
       search for..: (empty)
      nameservers: 198.1.6.2
                    198.1.6.3
                    198.1.6.4

Hosts: IP: 208.237.100.108
       Names: george.morgansouthern.com
nicknames: george (should I add www, ftp, etc?)
       (loopback parms ignored)

Interfaces: i'face IP Proto(?) atboot active
          eth0 208.237.100.108 none yes
active
          eth1 207.10.10.8 none yes active

Routing: Default Gateway: 208.237.100.105
        Default Gateway Device: eth0
(there are no entries in the table)

I can ping through eth1 at will. Pinging 208.69.188.186 (Mindspring DNS)
gets 'network unreachable' errors. I imagine this is a DSA on my part,
but I appreciate any assistance.
