# I leave my system up 24/7 and I haven't had too many problems... left it up
# at the end of last quarter (Dec 10th) and wasn't back in atlanta till new
# years... However, I have noticed that some problems crop up if you leave
# it up for a long time... On my system it will stop sending carriage return
# to telnet connections after a few weeks, but rebooting the system generally
# solves the problem and you can do that from remote....

Tom, thanks for the feeback! makes me feel better. i saw a few flakes
last week, but i'm now thinking it's hardware, and using a different
box, it's working OK. Sounds like I should have a cron job to do
a weekly reboot, just to clear out the spiders.

I suppose the telnet CR problem is due to ttys being orphaned in
a bad state? I think I've seen that after S/KEY rejects a session
on SunOS, too.

Did I miss anyone answering that they used S/KEY or Kerberos?

ObFood: All your food suggestions have been great -- midtown peachtree
offers a lot of cool stuff -- but I define ``near'' to mean ``I
can convince someone on campus to walk there with me.''

And you've all missed the one ``near'' place that I missed:
Athens Gyros & Subs on West Peachtree at 3rd (across from Ma
Bell Annex) has fantastic food, and between 12 and 1PM is the
epitome of fast-food efficiency (apparently because they hire
Greek people instead of MBAs...). But it closes around 4PM,
        I think.
