[ale] OT: comcast/xfinity

So what provider to you know that does NOT play price shenanigans?

Comcast does but at least they don’t require a 2 year commitment for a discount (though they may for the lowest one). On the flip side they’re going to raise price every year unless you’ve signed up for one of those. However, if you’re not locked in you can renegotiate any time.

AT&T does and they do require a 2 year commitment.

DirectTV does and they require a 2 year commitment. Worse yet many of their packages they only give you a guaranteed price for the first year. My mind still boggles that anyone would sign that blank check for the second year.

I'm kind off guy that like no games with price. Just give me the right price and I would probably agree to pay. After that I don't to hear any offers discounts or whatever. Just forget about me.

Same were AT&T. I left them because price shenanigans. Service was decent.

Yes. They sent me there last time I called and said "I want to lower
my bill". It's all about customer retention. If you are willing to
walk away from Comcast, they can offer some decent incentives to keep
you as a customer.
