Got them all. 

Bullsh*t i686 that says he is i386. :) 

Glibc does not support i386 now. You can target i486 and higher. 

To boot those your CPU needs to support PAE. I don't remember that being in my 386SX12. 

If you look at the packages listed on that CD you'll see i686. What standard produces the naming of i386 on the DVD?
