I don't hate and fear computers.  

I hate users that don't know what they're doing and fear governments that figure out they can use computers to spy on and/or control us.

Then again if it weren't for the former I'd not have had the career I've had.  :-)

After having spent over 30 years working with them, I think I qualify as an old white guy that hates and fears computers....

I sincerely hope that as my generation retires and dies off, the next one will become more sensible about this stuff.  Just maybe, they could change their world for the better.
