[ale] RedHat Errata alert emails? - RESOLVED

As a follow up for the archives I wanted to note this is resolved.

We noticed Errata alerts for at least a couple of weeks have included RHEL6 where they didn’t when I wrote this in March.      Yesterday RH notified me the team that handles this says it is fixed so we closed the case we’d opened with them.

We found that it would display for each of our users similar to:



Errata notification emails are enabled for your email address: billybob at example.com<mailto:billybob at example.com>.

Enable notifications for the selected errata types (select at least one)



Security updates



Bug Fix



Enhancement



On the first Enable line the radio button was already selected as evidenced by the statement above it saying alerts were enabled.   However for the 3 lines below that the check boxes were blank and we checked each of those on discovering this apparent change.   Since doing that on 22-Feb-2016 we appear to be getting errata email for our RHEL5 and RHEL7 systems but not for our RHEL6 systems.

The only system I have registered is my Sat5 server. I can't recall any notifications for it lately.

We noticed this  last month and found something that solved it for RHEL5 & RHEL7 systems but we’re still not getting for RHEL6 (unless it is for both RHEL6 & RHEL7 but even then it lists only our RHEL7 systems).

I opened a case with RedHat today about the missing RHEL6 Errata but am wondering if anyone else is seeing this issue.

Note:  I’m not asking where to go see the Errata online – I already know that.  I’m only asking about the email alerts.
