[ale] Good howto for irc?

I wondered if it would make sense to have an IRC to Slack gateway?  Seems like lots of folks, even folks who love IRC, are jumping on the Slack bandwagon (hipchat too).     I notice there is a #linux room in Atlanta’s #tech404 space.  Maybe some of you are there?



BTW, I’m one of those over 40 folks who started on Linux when it was two floppies and has since fallen out of the habbit of attending LUG meetings (though I’m coming tonight).
