Some folks say that Google and Ubuntu killed the InstallFest: Ubuntu makes
the install nearly trivial, and Google provides info on the odd hang-up
encountered.

I somewhat agree; however, there is still plenty of room for niche-focused
install fests, and/or special project and performance tuning events.

Ex:
Embedded device installations -- aren't always easy as Raspberry Pi.
Howto properly dual boot with EUFI
Best method(s) to virtualize your box.
PBX installs.
Home Automation seems to be the rage ... again.
Automated home brewing systems.

And remember... Geeks adopt almost any geeky reason to to get together.
Give us a punctuated date in the future in which we're expected to pull
that fun project off the back burner or jump start that new project and I
bet geeks will show.

Best of luck,
H P
