Probably a losing battle.

UEFI isn't a setting to enable.

Boot from GPT without UEFI doesn't work on Windows. That is a hardware-BIOS
thing. Making directories/partitions won't help.

Look up the MB model - is it UEFI or not?  Generally, UEFI works with mice and
has a graphical "feel."
