My extension comment was for the CPA.  They aren't sleeping in Feb - Apr15, so
they just file extensions out of habit.

If you do it yourself, especially the first time, you'll probably pay too much.
Everyone should pay their share, but not 1 penny more.  Get professional help
this year and you can follow that on your own for the next 10 yrs, assuming
nothing big changes in your personal situation, complex tax laws, or the amount
of money involved.

There is piece of mind in seeing a pro and knowing you aren't missing something
trivial to save on taxes. A 10 min talk about deductions and expenses can save
you thousands in the tax bill.
