[ale] OT: Laptop touchscreen repairs

Anyone know what's involved in fixing laptops that have broken
touchscreens. My daughter-in-law has an ASUS x202e that somehow one of
my grandkids broke the digitizer glass that makes up the touchscreen
part? The display itself is okay from what I understand. I haven't
actually seen it myself so I'm just going by what she's saying They had
taken it to someplace in or around the Mall of Georgia and the guy there
said it'll cost $300 - $400 to fix but claimed that it wasn't worth it
as her laptop was only worth $1,200. She said it was on-sale for $2,400
I think she said. The guy then started pushing some laptop to her.

Any suggestions would be appreciated to include recommendations for
places that can fix this in the Gwinnett area.
