[ale] [SEMI-OT] Skills for programmers/engineers?

It's not programming skills directly but...

Another HIGHLY useful skill is the ability to communicate effectively in
writing. If you have done any application documentation, even better. But
the ability to communicate clearly issues and success's in writing with
team members and managers is paramount.
