[ale] Video Signal Loss Issue

$ sudo modprobe -r fglrx
FATAL: Module fglrx is in use.

Ideas?

XBMC is still in the process table.
Physically removing the HDMI connection and reinserting it DOES work, however.
Tried to mimic this with an HDMI switch - no joy.
