[ale] forensic help needed

I have replaced the power supply within the past 48 hours.  Didn't seem
to help much.
Video is handled by on-board chip. Box does not have a separate video
card.

Sean,

who isn't looking forward to installing a new mobo and cpu into this
aging box.
