You got a few more details in there?  I'm a kernel maintainer although
the driver I maintain, the Computone Intelliport II serial port board,
as been moved to archival status at this point.  I maintained that
through the 1.x kernel as well as the 2.x kernel.

I have routinely built my own kernels, including OpenVZ patched kernels,
and I contributed code to the X10dev project for building that driver
outside of the kernel source tree.

So what are you looking for?
