rdiff-backup - versioned backups are CRITICAL.  A mirror is NOT enough, IMHO.

Clearly, for large media collections, a mirror is all that is usually possible,
if even that, but for the HOME, settings and other critical data, I like to have
60-90 days of incremental backups, performed nightly.

My daily use desktop:
$ df

Here's my daily use desktop backups:
