[ale] Arch Linux, they've screwed it up

I'd have to do a fresh install of each to answer definitively, but off the
top of my head: Debian starts with inetd, nfs stuff, rpc daemons, and a few
others. Arch used to start with maybe three services in total. But I bet
moving to systemd has changed that.

I'm going to look at Slackware. It's been a long time since I've run that.
It's getting several suggestions as a replacement.
