[ale] fried innards -- final report

Yet another trip to Frys.

-- replaced 400 watt power supply with 500 watt PS.
-- installed new DVD burner (this one burns double layer, which is nice,
   I think)
-- Noticed SATA data cable also charred, so replaced that also.

Hopefully this is the last WTF for the year.

PS You might be an Old Fart, if your computer case is IBM beige.  I asked 
for a DVD burner with a beige face plate, and the young sales clerk said, 
"I've never seen anything but black." Sure enough, Fry's has only black 
computer boxes.  Beige is dead.  RIP
