[ale] Fedora 19 and Java 7

Hello all!

I just installed F19 on my work system, and am trying to run a java app
from the command line.  I have run it before on F17/Java 6 without issue,
but cannot now.

I keep getting java MalformedURL and UnknownHost exceptions, and have done
all that I was able to find online about such errors (/etc/hostname,
/etc/sysconfid/network, /etc/hosts), to no avail.

The machine has 2 network cards, one of which I am not using.

Any advice would be appreciated.
