I have an email account with Copper.net that cost me $9.95/mo.  Originally I had them for dial-up ISP and switched to mail only account some time ago.  I've never really had any major issues with it in the 10+ years I've been using it.

     Got a question.  What email service would you recommend if you needed an email account free of ISPs and the big three (hotmail, gmail,yahoo)?  Free would be nice, but not mandatory...
