Hi there

There is a mode in emacs for go.

http://golang.org/misc/emacs/
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1715464/emacs-lisp-mode-for-go

If you are looking for an IDE windows-like appearance in emacs on demand
 use ECB mode.
The 24 and snapshot versions of emacs comes with CEDET and ECB built in.
However; I would suggest to use the last version from CEDET repositories.
(ECB package depends of CEDET).

Give a try :)

Pablo Ordonez.
