Back in the days when Georgia had 'safety' <cough> rather than the current 
emissions inspection's, I was once inspected through a window. Kid you not, 
since it was a cold December day, the inspector had me blow the horn and 
turn on a few lights while he watched from the warmth of his shop. Then 
handed me my sticker to paste in the windshield that year.

Also reminds me of the story of the two Georgia Tech students who swapped 
windshields *twice* so the newer Volkswagen beetle could gets inspected 
twice for both cars.
