Frys is likely to have both such things. There are two stores in GA,
one in Milton, near Alpharetta, and one in Duluth, near Gwinnett Place Mall.

Someone else mentioned Micro Center. They also have two stores in GA,
one in Marietta, and one in Duluth, near Gwinnett Place Mall.

If you're in Gwinnett County, you could visit both Frys and Micro Center
pretty easily.

I've used a USB - Parallel adapter years ago on Windows without a
problem. I haven't tried it on Linux. I guess it would depend on
whether Linux recognizes the chip set. It's pretty rare, but not
unheard of, for the vendor to provide Linux drivers. If you go that
route, and you have time, you might want to look up USB parallel adapter
on Amazon, and read the reviews to see if any mention Linux, assuming
you're using Linux.

Best Buy used to sell USB parallel adapters for about $ 40. I don't
know if they still do.

Sincerely,

Ron

(To whom it may concern. My email address has changed. Replying to former
messages prior to 03/31/12 with my personal address will go to the wrong
address. Please send all personal correspondence to the new address.)

(PS - If you email me and don't get a quick response, you might want to
call on the phone. I get about 300 emails per day from alternate energy
mailing lists and such. I don't always see new email messages very quickly.)
