Ultimately, although it looks bright and shiny and new, it seems that
it's not quite doing a whole lot for you. 

Granted, I wouldn't go someplace waaaaaay far away from dealer service
without having an ODB reader of some sort. 

You don't want to be in Montana 300 miles from a dealer and be wondering
what the check engine light means while the buzzards circle. 

But for normal everyday, it's not doing much for you.    And it's very
unlikely you can really find or fix anything with it. 

Maybe that's different for a Ford E-450 V8; maybe domestics are more
honest in the ODB data they return.   Definitely not so much for Toyota
Prius or Dodge Sprinter/Mercedes.
