sadly, I get a mish-mash of variable hardware scavenged from the scrap
heap. Core network switch is 10/100, 12 year old servers run the bulk of
the vm's. We shell out enough in power and cooling because of antique
hardware that we could replace the entire vm stack with a single, modern
system and pay for it fully in 2 years on power and cooling savings. But
THAT is from a different budget so no one sees the savings.
