[ale] HELP NEEDED - Comcast cable Modem and linux-centric home network

I have comcast business class, and I have all of my IP adresses passed
through to my firewall.
I have the login information for my router, and have full access to
hose it to my hearts content, should I choose to.

Ah, you have the business class Internet.

Yes, here is my advice:  Just get used to it.

Seriously.

They pushed out firmware for those things that inhibits having your
assigned IP blocks routed, and the thing gets in the way of a LOT of
network operations.

I can't stand it, myself, but I have little choice.

I do look forward to the day when I am once again in control of my
network...
