[ale] question about vi and bash

It works just like vi, with a separate input and command mode. I've been
using vi-mode for many, many years and find it to be far more useful than
the emacs-mode. If you're a vi speed freak, then you should use it for shell
input because it is *fast*.

I'll also say it's still important to know emacs-mode for those occassions
when you have to work in someone else's shell.
