[ale] 64-bit vs 32-bit?

Pete,

I think the 2 biggest negatives with 64-bit are:

- uses more ram

- adobe flash for 64-bit is not yet released.  I think they're years
late.  Who knows when it will finally come.  Tomorrow?  5 years from
now?

The biggest pro is that 32-bit can only see 3.5 GB of ram at a time,
so some apps feel limited. (This is a per app limitation only).  But
few standard desktop apps need that much ram.
