All,

I went to the meeting last night and thought it was worthwhile. Five of us
attended and it was very casual. There was no presentation and we had
trouble setting up the test environment, so we just chatted about
virtualization and then GNU/Linux. I got there right at 7P and the organizer
was there, had reserved a few couches with a table and a display and the
hostess knew about it and directed me to the space - that's a big thing, as
even the ALE meeting is hard to find it you show up late, which I always
have since it's been at Emory. :)

I hadn't been to Park Tavern before; the beer was both inexpensive and good
and the service was friendly. Also, the scenery was EXCEPTIONAL. It was a
bit loud but for the small group it was manageable. If the group gets
reliably larger, there is private space that can be reserved; the organizer
is also open to using other space.

Of the five people there, all use GNU/Linux professionally, either as
developers or administrators, with at least a few years under their belts.
(Yes, all of those were valid commas.)

I expect I'll go next month.
