Ok, now I'm confused, because you were saying humidifier on one part and 
that's what I was referring to. The potential for static increases with 
a decrease of humidity and that even in S. FL. a very humid environment, 
is susceptible for static situations in indoor air conditioned 
environment. I now see what you are talking about in regards to your 
basement having a dehumidifier, sorry if I missed that part.
