The lack of financial benefit to roll with v6 when there's no return expected at any particular time in the near future can be enough to scare small companies away from the outlay, especially in this economy.

Instead, look at the message he sent.  Intelligent, full of actually knowledgeable networking lingo, and aware of precisely what you were talking about without having to be handheld through the conversation only to get an uninformed answer.  

IMO, this is quite a bit more desirable than some of the things we've put up with out of ISPs in this area for some time.  It may not be the actual answer you were looking for, but I think it's an excellent answer nonetheless, and I'm happy to see an ISP that "gets it" and has people on staff that can actually answer these sorts of questions.
