One thing that a touchscreen can't emulate well is mouseover behavior.
Unfortunately, that is a big part of web and local app UX paradigm. You may
want to bring this up with the client.

For this very reason I've had several friends settle for the MacBook Air.
Unfortunately for this community, there is no comparable piece of hardware
on the market. I've seen competitors, but they all have build quality
deficiencies.
