[ale] How do you restart the network on Ubuntu

OP mentioned he used `service', which is not native on Ubuntu but is
provided by the package mentioned.

No, but I'm sure that it would be useful for some people. Care to write
one?

It's provided by sysvinit-utils.

$ sudo apt-get install sysvinit-utils
