Haven't done any C programming with this but the openldap-clients package has a tool called ldapsearch (among others) that lets you query users/groups from Active Directory.   (You also have to have openldap package.)   Maybe downloading source for these packages and examining the libraries and binaries sources for same will give you ideas.

Ale Crew,

I have a need to query active directory from Linux.

Given a user name I need to find out what groups the user belong to.

Ideally I would like some sample code written in C.

Any help appreciated.
