[ale] question about bank

I'll have to agree that I'm not a huge fan of the big banks. However, before I'd switch to CU I'd want to know a couple of things:

1) What is their online presence? Do they have full bill pay capability where one can schedule payments to various entities electronically and have them mail checks to folks that don't accept electronic payments?

2) Do they have something similar to the ShopSafe stuff where you can generate a credit card number for each on line transaction? Does it allow you to set a limit and expiration date on that number? Does it restrict the number's usage to only the payee that first processes a payment? (This is one of the best features of ShopSafe - even if someone hacks a site where I've used one of these numbers and gets it they can not use it.

+1 on Credit Union.
To really get the advantage of a credit union make sure you get to
know a handful of people who work there. Go in during a non-busy time
and chat with everyone who is not busy. Make sure they remember who
you are.

Once they know you, you will be able to do things over the phone that
normally would require going into the CU.
