The most recent ink jet of theirs that I have seen first-hand advertised
that it worked with Linux... if you ran CUPS on a 32-bit x86 system.
Not what I would consider Linux-friendly, personally.

I actually wish that the Linux logo and the name Linux could not be used
insofar as compatibility with hardware unless it was cross platform.
That's not to say that it should include source code (though personally,
I think that it should---that is neither here nor there), but if you're
going to claim that you're compatible with Linux, at least include
software for the x86, x86-64, ppc32 and ppc64 platforms, if you're using
binary software that doesn't run on some runtime like the CLR or
whatever.
