[ale] sound for thin clients?

MSI Wind (atom) barebones make killer thin clients, if not necessarily
the smallest. They are powerful enough to run some apps locally and have
no issues under Fedora 12/Centos 5.4 ltsp

I've been able to pick up open box units for around $100. There are more
expensive/smaller units available but these work well and have vanilla
components (Atom and intel video) plus they are quiet and have lots of
front ports for SD and USB.

Fedora, K12LTSP EL (Centos 5) and Edubuntu all have robust ltsp
implementations that generally work straight out of the box (including
sound, Flash compatibility, etc.) K12LTSP EL is still using the older
ltsp 4.2 but it is rock solid. Turn it on and come back in 6 months to
check on things.

Pulseaudio actually works pretty well now in F12.

regards,
William
