[ale] 100 million Facebook pages leaked on torrent site

One nice thing on Facebook now is you can hide all the different
application (Farmville etc...) posts made by your friends and family -
this has made looking at it once a week much more tolerable.

For ex-coworkers you might try LinkedIn instead of Facebook as it is
designed for professional links.

Reminds me of a recent phone conversation with a relative who was
inviting
me to play Frontierville. Them: "You can cut down trees, build houses,
raise livestock, plant crops, get chased by bears..." I interupted
with "Other than the getting chased by bears part, we do all that stuff
in real life. Why would I want to pretend to do it again?" Them: Long
silence then "Yeh, guess you have a point there." :)

My only experience with Facebook was a few hours of wasted time
searching
for former coworkers I have lost touch with over the years. No luck and
have not been back since.
